Started in 1994, the Sexton Lawfirm has concentrated its casework mainly in the areas of auto accidents/personal injury, product related injury, medical malpractice,legal malpractice, civil rights (law enforcement misconduct), fair debt collection practices, and employment law. The firm employs one attorney, one paralegal, and lawclerks. Our main goal is to be selective in our case work so that we can provide the maximum personal attention to you and your case and provide the most aggressive and zealous representation possible within current ethical standards and practices.

Jonathan Sexton | Priciple & Founder

JONATHAN P. SEXTON is the firm’s principle and founder. Mr. Sexton graduated from the University of Georgia in 1984 with a degree in criminal justice. He went on to work in the common carrier industry from 1984-1988 at Consolidated Freightways and Yellow Freight Lines before leaving to attend Georgia State University School of Law from 1988-1991. He obtained his juris doctor in law in June 1991 and went on to work for a civil litigation firm that handled multi-million dollar cases. He maintains a working relationship with that firm today. He later struck out on his own and established the Sexton Lawfirm in 1994. Mr. Sexton is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, a past area vice-president of and current member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and is admitted to practice law in Georgia and Florida. He is licensed to practice in all Georgia courts including the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, State, Superior, and Magistrate Courts of Georgia. He is privileged to practice in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia as well as the United States Court of Claims.

BONNIE BERGMAN is the firm’s paralegal and has been with the firm for over ten years now. She graduated from the National Center for Paralegal Training in 2000 and is a member of the paralegal division of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
